One of the manifestos of Jubilee government when it was being voted in was building of Standard gauge railway which was to facilitate transport. It was to meant to facilitate transportation of goods & passangers from Mombasa to Nairobi & in few years time connect various cities in the country. Since it was constructed  it has come with various impact both negative & positive. I will go through some of it impacts briefly. Decongesting Mombasa city. Since it's construction there has been notable decrease in the number of trucks in county of Mombasa. Now few  trucks access the port through docks & shimanzi. Tourism promotion. There has been reduced cost of carrying passengers to and from Mombasa. Hence tourism has been given a major boost Environmental protection. Just recently there  was a killer virus called  Ebola which was tererosing people in West Africa.  It has emerged now that there's another virus which is wiping people out from the face of the Earth called Corona virus.  It is a disease which is believed to have emerged in China which is a country that has quite a large population. It has killed many people in China leading to closure of some schools & Universities due to the fear of more people dying. The virus is spreading in a faster rate  & now it is believed to be in Saudi Arabia. Quite a number of people have died in Saudi & now the government has ordered schools & Universities to be closed starting from Monday until further notice.  What many people are asking themselves is what is being done to curb the virus. Premier league champions Manchester city have found themselves on the wrong side of UEFA after they were given a 2 year ban for their bridge in UEFA fair play regulations. It is another blow to the current champions given that they won't be able to lift the premier league Title this season since Liverpool are in fantastic form.
