Laikipia East, Kenya — Douglas Mwangi, popularly known as Daghy, has reaffirmed his commitment to transforming grassroots sports across Laikipia East, pledging to make sports development one of his key priorities should he be elected Member of Parliament in the 2027 General Election.

As part of his ongoing grassroots engagement programme, Daghy recently held separate interactive sessions with Mugumo Football Team from Umande Ward and Team GoodLife Football Team from Thingithu Ward, where he met players, coaches and technical officials to gain first-hand insight into the challenges facing community football.
